You forgot EDUCATION IS FREE.

So what you are really saying is that schools should ban all
proprietory software because like education being free
it is the governments job that all software should be mandated
to be free. Parenting is all about sharing software and code.
Proprietory stuff in schools creates divides whereas GPL'd
code makes sharing easy.

Look here for hundreds of free LiveCDs that are free
with source code.

That would be free source code and free operating system
like Linux and the 20,000+ educational, scientific and other
types of seriously useful commercially supported software.

Without free source code and free software mandated in schools
children would be forced down the pirating route early in
their life with proprietory software.
