I think the FCC(US) and Ofcom(UK) might tend to bugger that plan, what
with them having RF transmission regulations, and all.

The harsh reality is that every square millimetre of planet Earth (and
air and sea) is owned and regulated by /somebody/ /somewhere/. Some of
those owners/regulators are altruistic and allow free access, most are
not ... and will shaft you for every penny they can get. Where there's
a speck of dust there's a fast buck waiting to be made, and you can be
sure there's somebody willing to make it ... off you.

It's a nice dream, but it's hard enough fighting the cause to keep our
little corner of the universe Free. Free Software, Net Neutrality, and
Civil Rights occupy my time constantly, I really don't think I can fit
a Guevarian Pirate Radio revolution into my schedule right now.
