Not only can you cut and paste (at least using Windows Live Hotmail), on the
main email mgmt screen there's an Options button. Click it, then choose
Export Contacts and another screen comes up that says:
"You can export your contacts to a CSV file format. This allows you to save
them to your computer or transfer them to other e-mail services."
Click the button and it generates a .csv file of all your contacts and all
the data fields:
