We're almost back to the vibrant development world we had in the 1980s,
where all manner of prototyping capability was available, before the
Windows-based PC was considered to be the only platform on which to
develop any kind of control software, game or other utility package.
Sadly, a whole generation of technical people have gone through probably
at least 1/3 of their careers without knowing what flexibility and
choice are. No wonder they're scared.
