Microsoft employees need pensions also. What's to a European nation and how
dare it complain?

I could go further and cite other Cringely articles/columns, such as the
memorable one where he tells the story about Ballmer and Gates negotiating who
gets the money of the (then dying) Paul Allen and how many "Fat Cat"
ex-executives from Microsoft live in the suburbs guilty of the crimes they
have committed, probably drinking their misery away.

Being a gangster is not easy, even if you are filthy rich. Human consciousness
is a powerful thing and so is altruism.
