No.  My argument is not "but they do it too", it's that "Funny, i don't see
you complaining about IBM who spends 2x as much on lobbying".

I'd rather there was no lobbying at all.  Just like I'd rather that there
was no fund raising, and all candidates had limited, specific resources
granted by the government for purposes of campaigning.

The fact is, companies that don't lobby don't have any chance to
participate in government.  What's worse, the elected officials tend to
target companies that don't contribute with "inquiries" and
"investigations", in a sort of political shakedown.
