I agree that it smells of MSE3, but as noted above, the cygwin project
has been around for years doing much the same thing anyway. I can see
it gaining some traction in environments which are MCSE dominated and
have a religious-like faith in Microsoft and a "one God" view of things,
but in the end, all it may achieve might be to demonstrate that there's
life outside windows.
It will give the right impression in some quarters, though, if anyone
is foolish enough to take it at face value.
