An author licensing their software in the manner of their choosing is
"unfair"? The author(s) are the one who have invested time, effort,
and infrastructure in a project. Allowing them to choose the license
seems like the *only* reasonable application of the term fairness to
licensing.
And "community debilitating"? MySQL is dual-licensed and has been
forever. It's community seems to be doing just fine.
