Don't you use vieweing filters? It's very handy. You can easily isolate threads
where you posted.
I already colorise a lot of things, including own messages, direct and indirect
replies and posts from Google Groups (need distinguishing).
Maybe your habit of keeping track can be changed. I used to have different
tricks, but they changed (evolved) over the years.
