Regarding Microsoft's work force, I recall seeing some comparison with
Apple recently, which as I recall showed Microsoft having 3 times as
many employees as Apple, but making only about 1/2 as much profit per
employee as Apple. And I was surprised at the large number of
employees, 100,000 as I recall. What's the salary cost? $10 billion/
yr?
Ballmer is probably right about all stocks being over valued. Maybe
we'll be seeing the painful adjustment on all fronts in the near
future.
