Normally, when a company makes a press release announcement, the
reporters look for a variety of viewpoints from a variety of of
different analysts.

Of course, when it is Microsoft making a press release for a new
product, the reporters pretty much avoid those who have strong
negative feelings toward Microsoft.

But hey, Microsoft spends $4 billion in advertising to people that
aren't even Microsoft customers (unless they purchase the FULL LICENSE
from Microsoft or a retailer). And that certainly makes the editorial
department more willing to "balance" their coverage more in favor of
Microsoft and more against Microsoft's competitors, especially those
who don't buy $millions or $billions in advertising annually.
