I would say hands-down that the cross-platform projects would be
dominant on Linux, but that might not come true if Windows users are

Windows Media Center retails for over $100 at newegg.

I mentioned the price of WMC to indicate that there isn't a Windows-only free-as-in-beer equivalent to the cross-platform media-center apps.


Is Encarta better than Wikipedia?


Not in my opinion, but I don't see how that example is relevant to my claims, in case it was supposed to be.
