The important news/take home message is that 'Microsoft's' machines that it
extracts profit from are dying. If Microsoft makes just $4 per PC, then it
will shed off more stuff and be unable to maintain the operating system that
it develops /alone/. Maintenance requires _a lot_ of skilled people and it
costs a lot.
Microsoft understands this very well.
