Symbian is not going open source. It does a publicity stunt to prevent its
erosion in the market. Nokia continues to lobby for software patents and DRM.

Those $600m that Nokia has just borrowed to work on Sybian would be better
spent on Maemo and its constituent parts. 

Nokia alone can't defeat hundreds of companies that work together on GNU/Linux.
