I rarely put criticism of Novell here, but anyway, this big round of layoffs
has a lesson to teach: those who make foolish patent deals with Microsoft lose
the community's trust and therefore suffer.
The news will probably appear on Monday.
Another Microsoft 'subsidiary', Citrix, has just laid off massively.
Citrix ejects 10 per cent of staff

| The workforce reductions will save Citrix about $50m a year in costs, and the
| company will book charges in the range of $19m to $23m, mostly in the first
| quarter of 2009, to cover the layoffs.
That's just another Microsoft subsidiary (ish) laying people off.
