A good article about how to switch your company to Free Software.
The parts that really resonated for me were that
even if you've painted yourself into a corner
with some kind of platform-specific/single-sourced stupidity
(like Visual Basic),
there is no reason to have more than ONE Windoze box
on the premises (thus a single set of licenses).
MUCH easier to track--and much easier to control
(with only the admin having physical access).

In addition, all software eventually needs upgrades.
Seize the opportunity and make a switch then.
"The Ribbon" anyone?
