Linux Sucks

,----[ Quote ]
| Please stay away from GNU/Linux because it is a computer revolution. It is
| slowly changing the computer industry in major ways. Even Google is creating
| their own operating system that will be based on the Linux kernel. What are
| they thinking? Linux for the masses? Oh no! How are we going to get used to
| not paying hundreds of dollars for an OS. We would have to change our way of
| thinking and I don't think majority people are ready for that. We cannot
| allow this to happen. I have been using GNU/Linux for years and I still can't
| get used to such a great operating system. I am happy with it and the great
| software that I am using. Please take my warning seriously! GNU/Linux is
| awful and I hope you stay away from it. It is better to pay high prices for
| an OS that you do not like and the company will dictate to you what you can
| or cannot do with it, what software you can install and treat you like a
| criminal. If you do not take my warning seriously and will install GNU/Linux
| I hope that you are ready for what is to follow. Don't say I haven't warned
| you. Think hard about switching to GNU/Linux.

[Satire] Linux Is a Socialist Plot

,----[ Quote ]
| There is one guy who is speaking out. He is Steve Ballmer of Microsoft. He
| knows what this is all about. He spoke out years ago about this potential
| threat. He is like psychic. He is also a freaking genius. We need to listen
| to him. He is our leader. He is right up there with God. Here is what Ballmer
| says, “Open Source is not free.” Isn’t that profound? Parse the words and
| meditate on them sometime. It could be like a mantra. He goes on to accuse
| them of stealing. These Linux guys are a gang of thieves. Ballmer says so. If
| open source is not free, then what else could it be, but a socialist plot.
| Ballmer is under attack by Linux. Don’t believe all of the hate mongering. He
| is a straight up nice guy who is just making money and they are jealous of
| his success. He has everything that money can buy, except hair.
|
| So, the next time you think about installing Linux. Don’t. Install Windows
| instead. Even though Linux installs in half the time, the extra time
| installing Windows will be well worth it. It is the same when it comes to
| defragmenting a hard drive, re-booting after an update or clicking on
| dialogues that pop up to update this or that programme in Windows. Think of
| them as the cost of freedom. It is your patriotic duty to resist and to do
| all within your power to topple the socialist threat.

OpenBSD Enters "I'm a Mac/PC" Ad Campaign War

,----[ Quote ]
| Calgary, Alberta - Theo De Raadt, founder of the security-minded OpenBSD
| operating system, has announced plans to launch a series of television
| commercials to battle software giants Microsoft and Apple.
|
| From the beginning of the first "I'm a Mac..." ad, OpenBSD has seen a sharp
| decline in users from the hip 18-35 demographic. As Microsoft and Apple have
| slugged it out on the television set, OpenBSD has seen fewer and fewer
| installations from sorority girls, coffee shop denizens, and young
| entrepreneurs.

Top 10 Reasons You Should Use Windows

,----[ Quote ]
| 4-You blindly trust corporate America, if Microsoft thinks an update is good
| for you then they must be right, after all they created the damn thing.

Some Reasons NOT to use Linux. Ever. At all.

,----[ Quote ]
| It's interesting to see all the blogs and articles telling how many reasons
| there are to use Linux or Windows.
|
| I thought I would share some of the ideas that popped into mind for not using
| Linux, ever, after glancing over a few.
|
| Reasons to not even bother trying Linux, ever: ( cue drum roll... )
|
| 1) If you expect everything you use to work, look, perform and perhaps even
| smell to be EXACTLY like Windows or Apple, or whatever it is that you have
| only ever used for the majority of your life of using computers, Don't try
| Linux.
|
| 2) If the ideas of actually following a set of directions or using a thing
| called Google to learn more about what you want to do is mind-numbingly
| terrifying, don't Try Linux.

Reasons why I love Microsoft's Operating sytems

,----[ Quote ]
| I think it's important to support billion dollar corporations. Without people
| like me buying their software they wouldn't be able to control the world. I
| also love to support all the other billion dollar software companies that I
| buy my add on software from. It's very invigorating.

Debian "Etch" 1.0 Game Review

,----[ Quote ]
| After Microsoft recently released Vista (Spanish for 'guacamole horriblé,'
| which is also Spanish), the Debian gaming community decided that they needed
| to respond with a new version of their video game, named 'Etch' to respond to
| Microsoft's new worldwide gold standard for computer gaming. The name "Etch"
| has its origins in the medieval and satanic German verb 'ätzen' (1625–35),
| which means 'to eat, graze' in reference to Debian's relentless illegal
| absorption of Windows intellectual property.

Windows Vista (Uncyclopedia Humour)

,----[ Quote ]
| Microsoft does not consider the people who do not respect copyright
| its customers. The occasional criticism of the Windows Content
| Protection system on the grounds that it "disrespects users" has
| no merit; this feature is designed to help users, not disrespect
| them, by guiding them within the limits of copyright law and
| teaching them to distinguish right from wrong.

The Truth About Staying

,----[ Quote ]
| * You'll be able to ignore most viruses.
|
| Windows OneCare does a fantastic job of ignoring them so that will not
| be a problem!
|
| * You'll have some compatibility problems.
|
| Microsoft office is 99% compatible with Vista and since that's the only
| thing you'll ever use, who cares?

4 "Reasons" to Dump Linux

,----[ Quote ]
| Reason number one: Linux is boring. When I run Linux, I don't have
| the excitement of wondering whether an e-mail, IM, or Web page is
| going to give my system the latest worm or virus. Where's the fun in
| that?...
|
| Reason number two: Linux is a pain to set up. With Linux, you need to
| put in a CD or DVD, hit the enter button, give your computer a name,
| and enter a password for the administrator account....
|
| Reason number three: Linux is expensive. Linux is often free, but look
| at all that time you spend setting it up. Most people will end up buying
| new PCs with Vista preinstalled... It'll run me only $1,375. Of course,
| I won't get a keyboard, mouse, or monitor at that price.
|
| Reason number four: Linux doesn't have enough apps... my copy of SUSE
| Linux has only more than 100 apps. Microsoft gives
| you Internet Explorer and Outlook Express, the most popular Web browser
| and e-mail client around... even though they do have a few teeny-weeny
| security problems. Microsoft also has Office, which . . . oh, wait:
| You don't get that with Vista, do you?

Microsoft Requiring Fingerprints and DNA for Vista WGA

,----[ Quote ]
| Privacy advocates say this move by Microsoft could force many users
| to alternative operating systems like Linux where a policy like this
| would be impossible because there are no Linux drivers available for
| retinal scanners.
