Ah, thanks for reminding me about digiKam. I've been posting photos to
Google's PicasaWeb using their browser interface, and it sucks rocks through
a straw.
Google provides a beta Linux version of Picasa, but it involves installing a
tailored Wine package.
F-Spot provides an "Export to Picasa" option, but installing that brings in
a lot of Mono libraries, and I'd prefer not to become dependent on Mono.
Google provides documentation and PHP, C#, Python, and some other interfaces
for their Google APIs, but that's a lot of work I don't have time for right
now.
So I see that digiKam has a PicasaWeb export plugin:
