Re: [News] Mono Reported as a "Bug" in GNU/Linux

Verily I say unto thee, that Peter Köhlmann spake thusly:

And yet ... here you are, defending it.

But why?

After all, you "could care less", right Erik?

He can't.

These patents are "pending", and it is far more useful to Microsoft and
its supporters that we /not/ know what these patents are, until its too
late. /That/ is what's grating Erik. He does not want people asking any
questions that might alert others to the dangers of trusting Microsoft.

Oh, I understand, Erik. I really do.

> Nice strawman

It's even more subtle than that. He's playing the victim's defence.

Fuddie: I'm not really promoting Mono, I'm just defending this poor,
helpless project, that you nasty people keep saying bad things about.

LOL!

Convincing. Not.

Mono is a GNU/Linux and an ostensibly Free Software project that
"clones" Microsoft's precious Intellectual Monopoly - a veritable
anti-Christ to the Microsoft doctrine, much like OpenOffice, Wine, and
Samba. These lifelong dedicated Microsoft "evangelists" should be
bashing the hell out of it, and yet, here they are vehemently defending
it, as though their very lives depended on it.

They clearly /don't/ want us using OpenOffice, Wine, and Samba, because
this is "Slopware", "Theftware" and supposedly a poor man's alternative
to the /real/ software that we should be using (or more importantly ...
*buying*) from Microsoft, according to the word of Microsoft, that is.

But they desperately insist that we /must/ love Mono.

How sinister.

It's like the Stasi gently knocking on your front door, and politely
asking if they can just come in for a minute, for some tea and biscuits.
