Internet service provider Pricewert, accused of participating in the
distribution of spam and child pornography, has been shut down by a U.S.
District Court judge at the request of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

...

Law enforcement obtained transcripts of instant message conversations
between Pricewert senior employees and botnet operators discussing the
configurations of botnets.

Viral communication of propaganda and filth to serve a criminal agenda.
Yup, sounds just like Microsoft.

OTOH, that's a bit ridiculous, to say the least :)

The shills receive their instructions by E-mail, as amply demonstrated
in volumes of court evidence to that effect, in the Comes vs Microsoft
case and others:

However, there are at least two plausible connections between Microsoft
and so-called Botnets.

The first is the fact that Microsoft's Swiss Cheese software is so
chronically insecure that it allows such activity to occur with very
little effort. This is a question of incompetence rather than malice,
however Microsoft's subsequent apathy in the face of this threat borders
on culpability. The fact that Microsoft is profit-oriented, and thus
prioritises corner-cutting to save costs, over quality, is IMHO also
tantamount to malicious behaviour, given the severity of the consequences.

The second is the fact that the insecurity of Microsoft's software is
actually a boon for both them and third-party vendors, who supply
software designed to (attempt to) counteract the effects of this
insecurity. Given what we know of Microsoft's motives (above) I find
this hard to accept as coincidence. It has been speculated, and on
occasions proved, that those who supply anti-Malware software are the
/same/ parties who infect systems with that Malware in the first place.

Oh believe me, the Vole /is/ communicating with its army of cockroaches.
They're scuttling about like they've just been sprayed with insecticide.

You're giving the Vole and its munchkins too much credit. They lack the
intelligence, ethics and humility to understand they are not above the
law.
