This is Unix. None of this stuff is some sort of monolithic unapproachable
blob. Just run top (or the modern graphical equivalent) and start taking 
thing out.

     A diversity of opinion from people that view the terms "Lemming" and  
"herd mentality" as an insult. Imagine that.

     There are people that have NEVER run gnome or kde and don't have
any interest in doing so. They don't to. They can be accomodated quite
well. Everyone can do their own thing without it being a problem.
