It's more than a little scary, though...

Anyone using Windows in mission critical areas (including defence)
really should think again, or consult someone who knows what they're
doing.  The risks are so huge, they defy quantification - hmm, maybe
that's why they don't get quantified - they're just too big?

A bit like AIG guys "betting" on which companies will fail to pay their
debt?  Risks so huge that nobody could calculate them reliably.

Chaos maths might offer an interesting way of studying such things...
