The freedom to contribute does not obligate acceptance of that contribution.

Would you accept a "contribution" from e.g. a Malware author?

Too obvious? OK, try this one: Would you accept a contribution from
someone whose objective was to damage Linux in some other way, such as
by encouraging the use of another (their) operating system?

And let's say this other party currently has a global monopoly on
operating systems, which they enforce using patents, OEM contracts,
secret MoUs with third parties, bribery, blackmail, smear campaigns,
fake grassroots support organisations, shell company litigation,
lobbying, media infiltration and its associated FUD, sabotaging others'
product launches, and many other illicit devices to secure total
dominance of the software industry.

How would you feel about that "contribution" then?
