Priceless.

This is /NOT/ the first time Microsoft says this (downplays Vista 7 while
the marketing people and shills do the opposite).

/"Microsoft's Ballmer sees Windows 7 effect on PC market muted"/

No profits, either.

GNU/Linux killed Microsoft's profitability.

Here is an opinion on Microsoft describing pseudo backward-compatibility as a
feature (only to those paying for the expensive version of the O/S)
rather than a characteristic:

/"XPM RTM! â XP mode with more than a few things you should consider."/

http://openbytes.wordpress.com/2009/10/01/xpm-rtm-xp-mode-with-more-than-a-few-things-you-should-consider/

Similar to the practice of selling "security" separately as though it is a feature.

Vista 8 vapourware has /already/ begun. Microsoft knows why.

the next version of the same technology, however. Indeed, Phase 1 (Evangelism
Starts) for version x+1 may start as soon as this Final Release of version X."
