Ubuntu Release Schedule Video

,----[ Quote ]
| After blogging about my Ubuntu Release
| Schedule Video project, I received a lot of
| awesome feedback. Some of the feedback was
| received a bit too late in the process (like
| text suggestions) to make it in the video, but
| is still very much appreciated. Today I
| finally have something to show. Alan Pope have
| been so kind to provided me with the missing
| audio for the video. Although many people
| offered to help, I decided to go with Alan for
| various reasons. These include having English
| as first language, being a well known voice
| (UK Podcast and screencasts), having quality
| recording equipment.

New Indicator Applet & Messaging Menu for Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx

,----[ Quote ]
| I previously discussed some of the new social
| networking aspects coming in Ubuntu 10.04.
| These mainly focus on the brand new Me Menu
| which is a personalised menu that holds and
| controls all your social networking and
| assists with broadcasting to microblogging
| services. Some related changes are the new
| changes to the indicator applet and attached
| messaging menu.

Ubuntu Privacy Remix 9.04r3 released

,----[ Quote ]
| Ubuntu Privacy Remix is a modified Live-CD
| based on Ubuntu Linux. UPR is not intended for
| permanent installation on hard disk. The goal
| of Ubuntu Privacy Remix is to provide an
| isolated, working environment where private
| data can be dealt with safely. The system
| installed on the computer running UPR remains
| untouched.

Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx Alpha 1 review

,----[ Quote ]
| Ubuntu 10.04âs Alpha has been released. We decided to install it
| on one of our netbooks to see what is new in it. Canonical claims
| that many new things will surface with the release Ubuntu 10.04 and
| some of them have been implemented in the alpha release.

| Right now, there is not even a basic paint alternative. gpaint which
| although looks a lot like MS paint, but cannot even crop a picture. So,
| if GIMP is removed, I donât think there is a worthy MSpaint
| alternative in Linux
