Hook for catching X.org freezes

,----[ Quote ]
| X.org freezes are perhaps one of the most
| frustrating bugs in Ubuntu. These were
| such a pain during Hardy that special
| debugging procedures were developed to
| enable users to gather the data upstream
| needed. But these procedures are pretty
| technically involved to do, and had to be
| done while ssh'd into the frozen system -
| not always an easy task!

AMD Gets A Seat With The X.Org Foundation

,----[ Quote ]
| The new X.Org Foundation board members
| include Alex Deucher, Keith Packard, Matthieu
| Herrb, Matthias Hopf, and Eric Anholt. Alex
| Deucher had the most votes to be seated and
| this his first time sitting on the board and
| now provides some AMD representation where he
| works on their open-source driver stack and
| documentation.

Cleaning Up The Linux Graphics Driver Stack

| Yesterday Luc Verhaegen gave a talk at FOSDEM
| on reverse engineering a motherboard BIOS, but
| today we finally have X@FOSDEM for the last
| time. Luc has just begun his talk on unifying
| and simplifying the free software desktop's
| graphics driver stack. Here are his slides and
| we will be back with more updates and videos
| on Phoronix as the presentation progresses.

X.Org Server 1.7.5 Is Just About Done

| Peter Hutterer has put out a new release
| candidate for X Server 1.7.5, which also marks
| this point release as being just about complete.
