KDevelop 4.0 Stable Released into the Wild
,----[ Quote ]
| The KDevelop Hackers are proud and happy to
| announce that KDevelop 4.0 is finally
| available as a stable release. Released
| together is the first version of KDevelop
| PHP plugins, which make KDevelop a very
| interesting option for PHP developers.

Plasmoids in windows
,----[ Quote ]
| Since forever (where we define the start of
| time to be when I started working on Plasma)
| it has been possible to run Plasmoids, or
| any widget that Plasma can display, in a
| window on its own using plasmoidviewer. It
| isn't completely satisfactory for running
| widgets in a window, though, because at its
| heart plasmoidviewer is a development tool
| meant for testing and debugging Plasmoids.

Team Sets Seventh Beta of KDevelop4 Loose
,----[ Quote ]
| The KDevelop team is proud to announce the
| seventh beta of KDevelop4. At the same
| time we're a bit sad as this beta also
| marks our drop-out of the KDE SC 4.4
| release cycle. We feel that we didn't
| manage to get the needed features for the
| 4.4.0 release working properly and that
| we'll need a longer freeze period than
| what is available in the release cycle.
| We're now concentrating on getting the
| existing features shaped up and ready for
| release as well as fixing as many of the
| bugs as we can. No new features will be
| introduced into KDevelop anymore until the
| first release, which is currently aimed at
| end of March.

KDevelop Beta 6 and PHP Beta 1 Released
,----[ Quote ]
| The KDevelop team is proud to announce the
| sixth beta of KDevelop4. There haven't been
| any major features started since beta 5 as
| this is mostly a bugfix release
| (demonstrated by the list of fixed bugs).
| This also marks the end of the KDE 4.2
| support. With this release KDevelop4
| requires KDE 4.3 and Qt 4.5 to fully supply
| the GUI we want to provide our users with.
| It is also the last release that we're doing
| on behalf of ourselves, all upcoming betas
| will be done together with KDE 4.4. We are
| aiming at releasing with KDE 4.4.0 as we
| think that KDevelop4 is ready feature-wise
| and really needs to get a first release out
| of the door.
