Ipad Operating Function

,----[ Quote ]
| The huge problem is that there is no
| multithreading technology. This means that
| your $600+ tablet computer can only run
| one application at a time just like your
| iPhone. For some who like multitasking
| while using a computer this is a big let
| down. Even the cheapest sub $300 netbooks
| running Linux can handle multiple
| applications at one time and that hardware
| is quite a bit less powerful than what the
| iPad has. One can expect though since this
| is the first version.

Verizon: We're making a tablet with Google

,----[ Quote ]
| Google released a statement: "Android is a
| free, open source mobile platform. This means
| that anyone can take the Android platform and
| add code or download it to create a mobile
| device without restrictions. The Android
| smartphone platform was designed from the
| beginning to scale downward to feature phones
| and upward to MID and netbook-style devices.
| We look forward to seeing what contributions
| are made and how an open platform spurs
| innovation, but we have nothing to announce
| at this time."
