Microsoft is trying to catch up with them. Nothing from Microsoft really suits
this hardware type in a competitive way. It's quite funny to
watch Microsoft even signing a deal with ARM in a deparate 
attempt to pretend that Vista 7 with a new theme and new build type
(ARM) is a 'new' version.
