Maybe one day Windows will be as easy as Linux to set up. In the mean
time, people bend over to OEMs to save them from this nightmare*...
until they catch a virus and need to hire someone to reinstall.
Sometimes they find an exploitable volunteer (neighbour, family, peer).

*Not that they are given a choice. Microsoft uses difficulty of Windows
installation as an excuse for bundling.
