I don't know if the Mepis move to Ubuntu is a done deal or not, but I'm
pretty excited about the possiblity. Mepis is my favorite, but I've been
tempted by Ubuntu as well. Ubuntu seems to have a lot of momentum, and I
can see the benefit of Mepis piggy-backing off what is becoming one of the
"big" distributions (not only big, but big and with an almost ideal
philosophy). I think Ubuntu-based Mepis has the potential to be an
absolutely killer distribution.
