You are quite right. It is a known fact that humans ought to avoid all meat products and a vegetarian diet is quite beneficial. The only snag is that some chemicals that are found in meats suggest that a vegetarian person should take supplements or have a lean type of meat once in a while. I think you once said that you eat fish occasionally.

My diet is quite low in fat, but higher in carbohydrates. Most of the cholesterol I eat comes from fish and, let's face it.... it does not do me any good. I have been making many slow transitions in the past 5 years. I don't think I could possibly change my diet overnight. I take all your advice and consider what I can do -- what I can do to retain a high protein diet, but at the same time decrease future health complications.
