This tends to remind me a film from around 1999 called
Flawless. Robert Di Niro was doing a great job as usual in
that movie. The story revolved around violent drug dealers
and a bunch of drag queens. Di Niro played the role of a
mentally disturbed ex-cop - a role that reminded me of his
phenomenal appearance in Awakening. I recall watching the
latter with my mother very many years ago (maybe 8) and it
touched my emotions like no other film.
