I am not sure about WordPress 1.5 (I use 1.2.1), but I imagine that the
answer is /still/ no. You need to upload via FTP.

You'll need to do some hacking, possibly with some JavaScript. Also have a
look at the plug-in repository. Someone may have implemented this (or
similar bits) already.
