dot (.wibble) files are often hidden by default. I used CuteFTP many times
in the past and I don't know if it should hide dot files (I think not). In
fact, Windows should have little or no notion of what a dot file is (a dot
is reserved for extensions, but not necessarily so)...

So my advice for you is to check the options and discover why CuteFTP masks
out dot files.
