The *new* models from Palm (TE2, T5, LifeDrive) have yet another new connector.
It is needed (they say) for MultiMedia use. The USB connector you mention is now
just another obsolete Palm connection scheme and was only used on a few models
(TE, Zire72) anyway. I would argue that this mini USB connector was the most
*universal* connector they ever put on a Palm. I could buy a mini USB cable at
almost any electronics store. Even the cable that came with my Creative Zen Xtra
jukebox could be used on my TE. Now that's universal... ;)

That won't work on the Palm USB connector since it's a *slave* device.
