I am not too sure to what extent my suggestion will relate to the Sony
SJ-33 as I have only seen and toyed with the Sony models, but never used
one persistently.
* Synchronise your handheld with the desktop
* Hard-reset your handheld /with/ data loss
* Set system settings to 'handheld overrides desktop'[1]
* Synchronise
WARNING (Pitfall): you lose all other settings you may have, e.g. volume
levels, buttons and so forth.
[1] I am not entirely sure this was possible. Something tells me it was
the exception, but I can't test to see if it's true as I no longer use
Palm Desktop.
