: These questions aren't an issue for me, but it seems that tests like
: this ignore something that microsoft's been trying to ignore for the
: past decade: The Web.

The Web is just one environment and possibly not general enough for an
interview question.
It could be an included as answers to some questions:

* How would you implement copy-protection on a control which can be embedded
in a document and duplicated readily via the Internet?
* How would you redesign an ATM?
* Suppose we wanted to run a microwave oven from the computer. What kind of
software would you write to do this?

: Einstein was once asked if memorized formulas and other standard
: information. His response was why would he fill up his brain with
: knowledge that could be easily found in a reference book.

Einstein was a smart guy.
