Seems like M$ is intent on ripping off it's UK customers, who will pay
more than their US counterparts. Oh, what a surprise.

You have to wonder if this a way of recouping some of the expense caused
by the EU Anti Trust ruling. IMO the EU (or at the very least UK Dept of
Trade) should delve into this, & if it's found that this *is* what M$ is
doing, they should be severely delt with.
Very much doubt it. If you look at the cost of IT stuff on both sides of
the pond over the years, you'll find that the exchange rate used has often
been in the range of $1.00 = £1.00, even though the real rate was nearer
$1.50 = £1.00 or higher. It's generally called market forces - ie they'll
charge whatever the market'll stand to pay.
