Add something like Office (equivalent of OpenOffice, among
other free/+Free office suites) and you will see the price
of software exceeding that of the hardware. In simple terms,
you can halve the size of your computer cluster merely by
opting for buggy commercial software that eavesdrops on your
every move.
With the cost of Intel and AMD processors slashed by 60%+ in
the past week, expect this illogical ratio to be further
extended (e.g. computer is tripled in price once basic
commercial software is installed).
