Yugo, I have always perceived you as the skeptic/critic in the newsgroup.
What is the matter? You are complaining about something that you receive for
free? Novell made the patch that you are referring to available some time
ago. It doesn't require a manual install and not much skill, either. I agree
that I too am sometimes frustrated by the Red Hat Package Management method.
I find Synaptic (apt-get) much more reliable, which is where Ubuntu still
beats the almighty Novell. But it's all improvement with Smart (the
unification) and maybe even Zen. Meanwhile, we have to accept free software
with just a few flaws. Cheer up. At least we are not waiting for a month
until we receive a patch which prevents our box from being pwned, spewing
SPAM 24/7 if we don't surf careful (i.e. abstain from using search engine
and click on E-mails).
