10.1 is not unduly painful. Honestly.

Are you referring to 10.2-a?

Yes (assuming you mean the alphas of 10.2). Don't be part of the experiment
unless you wish to help or have a test machine where you need the latest and
the greatest (or the most fragile). If it's an interim installation (until
final release overrides it, then it might be sensible. But don't use an
alpha over the years... too risky... little change of getting technical
support... and unpredictable.
