It's Novell SUSE Linux, so the changes/mod will not necessarily become an
integral part of GNOME. Think of it as a branch and remember that Linux
offers choice rather than make decisions on behalf of users (quite
arrogantly so in the case of Mac OS and Windows). I believe nothing is
finalised, but it seems like somewhat of a Windows XP ripoff, to be honest
with you. This at least helps adaptation and Novell Linux is aimed at
enterprises that previously used Windows/NetWare. I had this reach the front
page of Digg this morning and many expressed dissatisfaction, if anything.
The user will probably have an option to en/diable this menu layout (a bit
like Classic Style in Windows XP).
