By that, then, all the Windows discussion is off-topic.  (I know someone is
going to say that discussion of Windows is for the promotion of Linux, but
read the above paragraph carefully.  The "promotion" stuff and the
"betterment" stuff are qualifying the discussion of Linux.

In other words, the structure of that paragraph isn't saying that the group
is for three things ((1) discuss Linux, (2) things to better the Linux
community, and (3) to promot and develop Linux), but rather it is for *one*
thing, discussing Linux, and the purpose of this discussion is
betterment...promotion...etc.

It's all moot, though, because that paragraph has nothing to do with the
actual charter of the group, but rather was an attempt by a few people to
retcon the group into something more to their liking.
