Palm is working on PalmSource/ACCESS Linux. There will soon be a revamped
platform that is backward-compatible w.r.t. Palm OS. Just be patient. Palm
will not be going with Windows. Even the Treo 700 recently had a Palm OS
version emerge -- the Treo 700p.

This sounds like something that my Tugsten can accomplish, with a size
smaller than (or on par with) my wallet. There is even a free dictionary
called Noah Lite, too. Think what is most pragmatic rather than be dazzled
and distracted by flash that devours the battery.

Have a look at the Nokia 770 as well. It might soon suit your needs as it is
slowly getting PIM applications. Good screen, small size and very positive
reviews.
