I suspect it has been possible since SuSE 9.3, if not much earlier than that.
There is a drag-and-drop widget for peripheral MP3 players, iPods included.
Quite neat. SuSE's handling of mass-storage devices is, once again, a
plug-and-play, drag-and-drop 'thingie'. Unless, of course, one chooses the
wrong devices...
