Except you're missing something: Most people that buy the PS3 aren't going
to be geeks, programmers, or other various tech-knowledgeable people.
They'll be a majority of casual gamers, and generally, most of them will
probably have trouble using some advanced parts of Windows, let alone
Linux. I highly doubt Sony expects over 1% of the people who buy a PS3 to
actually run Linux on it. It seems more like Sony is trying to get the PS3
to look more like a computer, and less like a game console, for some
reason.
