Yes, and all the while that that's happening people are walking into
Wal*Mart to buy a 50" plasma screen as fast as you can say crystal
substrate.
And what are the most watched shows? Deal or No Deal...House...LOST.
Tv is dead in the sense that movies are dead. Movies went from being the
be all and end all of entertainment to being the "A" list of entertainment,
with televion taking over the "B" movie role.
In the same way, premier network tv shows provide fodder and core centers
around which people watch, blog, download and share.
