Bear, I don't think that Cisco is trying to FUD Microsoft, to be honest with
you. In fact, these two racers in the oligopoly are liaising to make each
other stronger... essentially by locking others out, unilaterally agreeing
on 'protocols'.

Why the world needs openness, not interoperability.

| This NAC/NAP lovefest would be laughable if it weren't such
| a kick-in-the-teeth to the rest of the industry, enterprise IT, and
| all Internet users. A Cisco/Microsoft oligopoly stalls implementation,
| stifles innovation, and makes the network less secure. In this way, Cisco
| and Microsoft are standing in the way of progress.

Cisco makes news with big partners

| Cisco Systems, known for its aggressive acquisition strategy, is pushing
| forward with its partnership program as it announces the completion of a

So it's likely that woes over Vista are genuine. Also see the following:

Will Vista stall Net traffic?

| Thanks to new directory software, Windows Vista could put a greater load
| on Internet servers. But experts disagree over whether we're headed for a
