Apple got the same protection from the US. Europeans countries have accused
it from stifling the competition by delivering (selling) songs that will
only play on their device. The DRM madness has got its match in the
Microsoft camp as well. Just imagine a large pool of competing DRM
technologies. Worse than lack of a single standard/protocol/format...
